The enrolment process — step by step
Enrolment at Prime Scholars is deliberately simple. We do not believe in lengthy intake forms or administrative delays — your child has exams to prepare for and every week matters.
- 1
Send us a WhatsApp message (2 minutes)
Message us on +263 714 708 203. Tell us your child's form level, the subject or subjects you need help with, and whether you want 1-on-1 tutoring (online or home visit) or a group class. That is all we need to get started.
- 2
We confirm availability and match a tutor (same day)
We match your child to the most suitable available tutor based on their subject, level, exam board (Cambridge or ZIMSEC), and any learning preferences you share with us. You receive a confirmation message with the tutor's subject background and availability.
- 3
Book the free trial lesson (your choice of time)
We schedule a trial lesson at a time that suits you. Online trials are completely free. Home visit trials are $10. The session includes a diagnostic assessment and a targeted teaching segment with no obligation to continue.
- 4
Confirm and begin regular sessions
After the trial, if you are satisfied, we set up your regular session schedule. You confirm the day, time, and frequency. Payment is per session with no minimum commitment and no cancellation fee if you give 24 hours notice.
What information do you need from me?
Child's form level
Form 1 through 6, or specify O Level / A Level. If your child is preparing for a specific exam sitting (November or June), tell us that too.
Subject or subjects
One subject is fine. Multiple subjects are common — we can match the same tutor for related subjects or use specialist tutors per subject and advise on the best approach.
Exam board
Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge A Level, or ZIMSEC. If you are unsure, your school results slip or timetable will confirm this. We cover both boards in full.
Session type preference
1-on-1 online (Zoom, from anywhere), 1-on-1 home visit (Harare, tutor comes to you), or group class (Zoom, lower cost). You can mix types across subjects.
What happens if there is no available tutor right now?
We do not substitute an unqualified or mismatched tutor just to fill a slot. If the right person is not available yet, we give you the expected wait time and keep you informed. Wait times are rare for mainstream subjects.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to sign a contract?
No. There is no contract. Sessions are pay-per-session and you can stop at any time with 24 hours notice. We rely on the quality of our teaching to keep families — not on locked-in commitments.
Can I enrol for multiple subjects at once?
Yes, and it is common. Many families enrol for two or three subjects simultaneously. We can coordinate schedules across tutors to avoid clashes with your child's school timetable.
Is there a registration fee?
No registration fee. The trial lesson is free for online sessions and $10 for home visits. You only pay from the second session onwards, at the rates listed on our pricing page.
What if my child is mid-term — can they still join?
Yes. We accept students at any point in the term. The diagnostic assessment in the trial lesson helps us understand exactly where your child is in the curriculum so we can pick up from the right place.
Can we change tutors after starting?
Yes. If you feel the match is not working after a few sessions, message us and we will rematch without question. Finding the right tutor-student fit matters more to us than defending a placement.
