Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 May 2026

Please read these terms carefully before booking or using any Prime Scholars service. By booking a session you agree to be bound by these terms.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the tutoring services offered by Prime Scholars ("Prime Scholars", "we", "us", "our"), including our website at primescholars.co.zw and all related services. By booking a session, registering for a class, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a session, submitting an enquiry form, registering for any class, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you are booking on behalf of a student who is under 18, you represent that you are their parent or legal guardian and that you accept these Terms on their behalf and take full responsibility for the student's use of our Services.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

3. Our Services

Prime Scholars offers the following learning programmes:

  • 1-on-1 Online Tutoring — personal 60-minute sessions conducted via video call. Available for O Level, IGCSE, AS & A Level, and Specialist subjects.
  • 1-on-1 Home Visit Tutoring — personal 60-minute sessions at the student's home in Harare. Subject to tutor availability and location.
  • Group Classes — structured online group sessions running Monday to Friday, five 60-minute sessions per week per subject. Maximum 12 students per group. Fixed published timetable.
  • Free Sunday Open Maths Class — a free weekly 60-minute online Maths session open to all O Level and IGCSE students. No booking or payment required.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any programme at any time. Where material changes affect enrolled students, we will provide reasonable notice via WhatsApp or email.

4. Eligibility

Our Services are open to students enrolled at O Level, IGCSE, AS & A Level, or equivalent secondary school level under Cambridge International or ZIMSEC, as well as students pursuing Specialist subjects (including Computer Science, AI, and Software Engineering) at any comparable level.

Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on their behalf and who acts as the primary contact for all booking, billing, and communication matters.

5. Enrolment & Booking

  • Bookings may be made via our website contact form, WhatsApp (+263714708203), or any other booking channel we make available.
  • A booking is confirmed only once you receive a written confirmation from us (via WhatsApp or email). Enquiries and form submissions do not constitute confirmed bookings.
  • For 1-on-1 sessions, the student's schedule is agreed between the Client and the assigned tutor at the start of each billing period.
  • For Group Classes, enrolment is on a rolling basis subject to available spaces. Enrolment is confirmed once payment for the billing period is received.
  • The free Sunday Open Maths class requires no booking — students join using the session link published on our website and social channels.
  • We reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking at our reasonable discretion, with a full refund of any amounts paid for that booking.

6. Fees, Payment & Billing

Pricing

Our fees are published on the Pricing page and displayed in United States Dollars (USD) as a standard reference point for comparison and planning. We accept payment in Zimbabwean Gold (ZiG). WhatsApp us before booking and we will confirm the applicable local rate. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

Payment Terms

  • Monthly fees for 1-on-1 and Group Classes are due at the start of each billing period, before sessions commence for that period.
  • Multi-subject discounts (10% for 2 subjects; 15% for 3 or more subjects) are applied automatically to the combined monthly total.
  • Failure to pay by the due date may result in suspension of sessions until payment is received. Suspended sessions are not rescheduled or credited.
  • Prices may be adjusted with a minimum of 30 days' written notice. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing period after the notice period.

7. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refunds

1-on-1 Sessions

  • A minimum of 24 hours' advance notice is required to reschedule a session. Notice must be given via WhatsApp or as otherwise agreed with the tutor.
  • Sessions missed or cancelled by the Client without 24 hours' notice are forfeited. No credit, reschedule, or refund will be issued.
  • Sessions cancelled with sufficient notice will be rescheduled within the same billing period where reasonably possible, at a time mutually agreed with the tutor.
  • If Prime Scholars or the assigned tutor cancels a confirmed session, we will reschedule it at no additional cost or apply a session credit.

Group Classes

  • Group classes follow a fixed timetable. Individual cancellations or refunds for specific group sessions are not available.
  • If Prime Scholars cancels a group session, it will be rescheduled or a credit applied to the next billing period.

Refunds

  • Monthly fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started and sessions have commenced.
  • If you wish to discontinue enrolment, you must notify us in writing (WhatsApp or email) before the next billing period begins. No fees will be charged for the following period.
  • Where Prime Scholars is unable to deliver the agreed number of sessions in a billing period due to reasons on our end, we will issue a proportionate credit or refund.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 working days via the original payment method or a mutually agreed alternative.

8. Code of Conduct

We expect all students and clients to uphold a respectful and productive learning environment. You agree that the Student will:

  • Treat tutors and fellow students with courtesy and respect at all times.
  • Attend sessions punctually and come prepared with relevant materials.
  • Maintain academic integrity — Prime Scholars does not assist with plagiarism, exam fraud, impersonation, or any form of academic dishonesty.
  • Not record any session (audio or video) without explicit prior consent from the tutor.
  • Not share session links, recordings, or materials with unauthorised third parties.
  • Use any online communication platform respectfully and in accordance with that platform's own terms of service.

Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in suspension or permanent termination of enrolment at Prime Scholars' sole discretion, without refund.

9. Home Visit Policy

  • Home visit sessions are available exclusively within Harare. Coverage of specific suburbs is subject to tutor availability.
  • The Client is responsible for ensuring a safe, suitable, and reasonably quiet learning environment for the session.
  • For students under 18, a responsible adult (parent or guardian) must be present within the premises for the duration of every home visit session.
  • Tutors reserve the right to end or decline a session if they have reasonable safety concerns. In such cases, the session will be rescheduled rather than forfeited.
  • Prime Scholars reserves the right to discontinue home visit services for a particular client if ongoing safety or conduct concerns arise.

10. Intellectual Property

All lesson materials, worksheets, notes, recorded content, curriculum guides, and any other content created or shared by Prime Scholars or its tutors are the intellectual property of Prime Scholars and are protected under applicable copyright law.

  • You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use shared materials for the enrolled student's private study purposes only.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, or share our materials with third parties without prior written consent from Prime Scholars.
  • Sharing session materials or recordings on social media, messaging groups, or any public forum without our consent is strictly prohibited.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Prime Scholars is committed to providing high-quality, expert tutoring and will exercise all reasonable care and skill in delivering our Services. However:

  • We do not guarantee any specific academic result, grade, or examination outcome. Educational progress depends on many factors including the student's effort, attendance, starting level, and external factors beyond our control.
  • Our Services are provided in good faith and to the best of our tutors' professional ability, but they are not a substitute for a student's own effort and engagement.
  • We make no warranty that our Services will be uninterrupted (e.g., due to internet outages or platform issues), though we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule affected sessions.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Zimbabwe, Prime Scholars shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage arising from your use of our Services, including but not limited to:

  • Failure to achieve expected examination results or grades.
  • Loss of educational opportunity.
  • Technical failures of third-party platforms (video call services, internet connectivity).
  • Any loss arising from reliance on materials provided during sessions.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Prime Scholars in the 30 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy sets out in full how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using our Services, you consent to the data practices described in that policy. We encourage you to read it.

14. Amendments

We may update or revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via WhatsApp or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

Your continued use of our Services after the effective date of any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should discontinue use of our Services and notify us in writing.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe.

We believe most issues can be resolved quickly and informally. If you have a concern or complaint, please contact us first via WhatsApp or email and we will make every effort to resolve it promptly and fairly. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally within 30 days, either party may refer it to the appropriate courts of Zimbabwe.

16. Contact Us

If you have any questions about these Terms, please reach out — we're always happy to clarify.
